Navigating Anger

For the parents…

Anger shows up in every family—but how do we help our kids understand it instead of being controlled by it? How do our own reactions teach them what to do with big emotions? When tempers rise, how do we create space for honesty while still guiding toward self-control? How do we help our children name what they’re feeling beneath the anger—hurt, frustration, disappointment—and respond in a healthy way? When is it time to step in and redirect, and when is it time to let them work through it? How do we point our kids to God as the one who is patient, just, and full of grace—even in moments of anger—and what about us? What are our responses revealing, and how are we modeling what it looks like to handle anger in a way that honors Him?
