Share the Vision Capital Campaign

In October 2008, we commenced a three-year capital campaign to share God’s word within our community and surrounding areas, and to reduce the debt on our new church building. The campaign is known as “Share the Vision”. After months of planning and preparation that included Bible studies and devotionals on stewardship, personal testimonies and prayer vigils, we had 110 families reach deep into their pockets and give $117,559 in our “Share the Vision” First Fruits offering. God truly blessed us with the second largest offering in this church’s history.

We now have had over 150 families make a three-year financial commitment or a monetary gift to the “Share the Vision” campaign. We have had giving by long established members as well as those new to our church family. We have had giving by visitors and by some who wish to remain anonymous. Our children and grandchildren have participated by giving their pennies, nickels and dimes. Giving to “Share the Vision” through August 10, 2009 totals approximately $ 503,000.

The commitments made, along with one- time gifts to date, total approximately $1,150,000. These monies, as received, will be used to pay down a substantial portion of the church debt. More importantly, by eliminating a substantial amount of church debt, we allow ministries to grow and expand as we “Share the Vision” within Montgomery County and beyond. To God goes the glory!

It is not too late to participate in our “Share the Vision” campaign, either by making a multi-year financial commitment or a one time financial gift. “Share the Vision” is also a great way to remember someone’s legacy with a honorium or memorial. Make your check payable to Conroe Church of Christ, memo Share the Vision and send to Conroe Church of Christ, 1860 Longmire Road, Conroe, Texas 77304.  Also, later this year, we will have a Recommitment Sunday to celebrate the one year anniversary of the campaign. This will be a wonderful opportunity to recommit to the campaign or participate for the remaining two years of the campaign.

Most of all, we ask for your prayers for the success of this important effort. If you have any questions, please call     R. Jack Criswell at (936) 890-8664.
